Cruise ship La Romana

Discover our special dive packages designed for those divers travelling on a cruise ship and stopping over at La Romana.


La Romana is known as one of the most popular Port-of-Calls for cruise ships and consequently, many of our guests arrive on cruise ships as well. In this case you can save hundreds of dollars by booking activities with us. On a conventional Caribbean cruise, if you wait till you’re in port to plan your day or if you succumb to the group shore excursions that the cruise lines try to sell you, you’ll have a tough time. Coral Point Diving wants to offer you the solution.

We offer complimentary transfers to and from the cruise ship docks. If you are a diver, traveling with non-diving companions - you can enjoy scuba diving in Bayahibe with us.

After your initial contact with us, we will discover your needs and design a suitable program for you giving you our pick-up and drop off times.It takes about 20 minutes to reach Bayahibe from La Romana's dock. After you arrive at Coral Point Diving facility in Bayahibe you will be treated as a VIP.

Most of diving sites in Bayahibe are located within the National Park of Guaraguao, a protected underwater environment. These natural habitats support hundred of different classes of coral and over 500 fish species.Inside the National Park here you can spot eagle rays, grunts, snapper, angelfish, parrotfish, moray eels, grouper, hawksbill turtles, trumpetfish, wrasse, hogfish, spotted drum fish, amberjacks, lobster, octopus and even longsnout seahorse.

Price for double tank boat dives is $130 per person (including transportation from/to the dock in La Romana). Minimum 2 persons

Snorkelling Bayahibe , La Romana with Coral Point Diving

Bio Adventures and Snorkelling with Coral Point Diving

Snorkeling is the Dominican's greatest, easiest adventure and an activity everyone can enjoy. If you’ve only fantasized about peeking beneath the sea, there is no safer, gentler and more exciting place to learn this sport than in Caribbean’s calm, clear, current-free waters. From toddlers to great-grandparents, snorkelling is ideal for all ages and a great family activity too.  We are ready to teach you safe snorkelling techniques from the basic levels.

Our shop is the only operator in Bayahibe headed by an in-house marine biologist and naturalist who will accompany guests on all snorkelling excursions whenever possible.

Every eco-snorkeling Tour includes:

pre-snorkel safety briefing and reef ecology discussion
guided snorkelling tour
Hire of mask, snorkel, fins and lifejacket.

Atlantic Princess - Bayahibe Reef (2 hours)

The Reef around Bayahibe is just beautiful and it is well known to be a great place to snorkel, since it is shallow and currents-free. This reef range in depths from 4 feet to 20 feet which make snorkeling a breeze. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced snorkler, all of the reefs we visit are simple to navigate but are a spectacular sight. During Bayahibe Reef excursion you can also wisit Atlantic Princess Wreck. This wreck is great one for snorkellers who are looking to see a real wreck while snorkelling on an amazing reef. The Atlantic Princess sits at 12.4 meters and is home to large trumpet fish and lionfish. The ship is surrounded by beautiful sponges and corals.




Magallanes Beach-Coral Reef Restoration (1 hour)

Visit our underwater coral nursery. Learn about Staghorn and Elkhorn corals. Care for them.

Coral Point Dive Center has been helping pilot this replanting program for the last year and recently partnered with other important no-profit Foundations to offer snorkelers and sport divers a unique opportunity to be a part of doing something to give back to the awesome ocean environment that so many of us have been enjoying for many years. As part of our coral planting schedule we will be offering a 1 half day program that will include class room lesson, /w nursery work, and or actual coral planting on a site. We alslo inlcude in this Program an Introduction to major Reef Check monitoring reef techniques.
